Polpeor Cove
Polpeor Cove
Looking into Polpeor Cove, with the 1914-built Polpeor Cove lifeboat station below. Closed in 1961, this was the third and final lifeboat station at this spot (the first having been built in 1859). In the foreground is a large patch of the invasive Hottentot-fig (Carpobrotus edulis), which is a colourful but problem plant on the cliffs near Lizard Point.
