Paved route of Pennine Way heading for Great Shunner Fell
Paved route of Pennine Way heading for Great Shunner Fell
The nature of the ground over which the path of the Pennine Way travels varies significantly. Here, about 1.5 km. south of Great Shunner Fell, in common with a number of other stretches on the way, the route has been laid with large stone slabs, reused from disused mill buildings.
