Water of Leith
Water of Leith
Above the Dean Village, running through a wooded gorge beneath Edinburgh's New Town. A hidden world opened up by the walkway. Lookout for the kingfishers. This is still an upland river, running still here because of a weir, but is home to dippers and trout. Some birdwatchers walk into wild land to see dippers. Try a city centre.
