Mine spoil in valley of Cliff Beck
Mine spoil in valley of Cliff Beck
Cliff Beck is the valley stream descending into Swaledale passing the cavities known as Buttertubs - they're not in this image but up to the left and out of view. The mine spoil is most likely to have been from a working for lead ore - most Swaledale mining was.
