Blackergreen Lane Bridge
Blackergreen Lane Bridge
Crosses the trackbed of the former Wombwell to Silkstone West Railway. This was one of the mostly steeply graded lines in Britain and carried a heavy coal traffic often requiring the use of four locomotives per train. With the loss of coal traffic it had no function and closed in 1981.
