Sauchie Tower
Sauchie Tower
Sauchie Tower is one of the five historical sites on the Clackmannanshire Tower Trail. Despite the name, the tower is closer to the village of Fishcross than Sauchie. Fishcross lies between the tower and Sauchie.
Sauchie Tower is also known as Devon Tower; the River Devon is just to the north. It is a square plan early 15th century tower house with almost no alterations since it was originally built. The tower is now roofless, derelict and badly cracked by subsidence. Despite this it is a Category A listed building. LinkExternal link
