Gladhouse Reservoir
Gladhouse Reservoir
Formerly Moorfoot Loch, Gladhouse Reservoir is one of a number of reservoirs which supply Edinburgh with water. It is situated about eight miles south-east of Penicuik and about twelve miles south of Edinburgh. The River South Esk flows through the reservoir.
It is possible to walk a five mile route round Gladhouse Reservoir on a mixture of roads and tracks, but the route is not always beside the reservoir.
