Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway - Iron Duke
Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway - Iron Duke
This broad gauge replica locomotive was visiting this preserved standard gauge line. It was built in 1985 by RESCO Railways using parts of two Hunslet Austerity tanks. It is a 4-2-2 replica of one of the 29 strong Iron Duke class built in 1847 for Brunel's GWR. It is now on static display at Didcot Railway Centre.
