Dismantling a Lombardy poplar, Mercia Way, southeast Warwick
It seems most likely that the tree was a problem to the railway, which runs on an embankment behind the trees. Poplars are messy, always dropping branches; in a southwestlery gale it could have fallen across the line. However no Network Rail presence was seen. Another possibility is that the housing association, who manage the houses beyond the end of the road, right, responded to nervous residents by having the tree taken down.
