Inside Bury Transport Museum, Bury
Situated in Castlecroft Road BL9 0LN, this museum, which is a Grade II listed ex-railway warehouse dating from 1846, houses a collection of vintage vehicles including buses, steam rollers and trams. This photo shows the following vehicles from left to right:

i) Leyland Tiger PS2/1 55(MTB 848) dating from 1950 and operated by Rawtenstall Corporation Transport. It has East Lancs 35-seater bodywork with a rear entrance.
ii) Leyland Atlantean PDR2/1 6809(TWH 809K) dating from 1972 and operated by SELNEC being allocated to Bolton depot. It has East Lancs 86-seater bodywork (49 seats on the upper deck and 37 seats on the lower deck). Incidentally, SELNEC was an acronym for "South East Lancashire North East Cheshire" and its Passenger Transport Executive took over the bus fleets of eleven municipalities on the 1st November 1969.
iii) Leyland Atlantean PDR1/1 185(UWH 185) dating from 1963 and operated by Bolton Corporation Transport. It has East Lancs 78-seater bodywork (43 seats on the upper deck and 35 seats on the lower deck). It is in the former cream and crimson livery of BCT until it was painted in the orange and cream livery by SELNEC after that Passenger Transport Executive took it over on the 1st November 1969. Following withdrawal from service, it has been repainted in its former livery.
iv) AEC Reliance coach 6U3ZR (NNC 855P) dating from 1976 and operated by Yelloway Motor Services of Rochdale. It has Duple Dominant 49-seater bodywork. Yelloway Motor Services ceased operation in late 1988.
