Looking south-east towards T'yn Cornel hostel.
Notable is the new building to the right of the former drovers' road. It is to house a small turbine. A dam upstream near SN741544 has been built, and a (mainly) underground pipe sunk from there to here to feed the turbine. At the time of the photograph, no power (which is sent to a unit in the large barn at SN 7507 5345) is being generated. When it is, apart from giving a rarely used available power source to the farmer, and the possible selling of some to the hostel management (at a lower price than its current tariff via the national grid) it is difficult to imagine how this scheme will pay its way.
