Wind Farm Substation September 2007

The substation for Scout Moor Windfarm is now near completion.
When the 26 wind turbines have been erected on the nearby moors the electricity will be exported to the National Grid via this newly built dedicated substation.
The windfarm will consist of 26 individual wind turbines,each one generating 2.5MW.
In total the whole wind farm will generate 65MW enough power to supply the aveage needs of 40,000 homes.
