Greenock West is located in a cutting between two tunnels. The tunnel in the picture is the Newton Street tunnel which is the longest in Scotland running all the way to Fort Matilda station NS2577 : Fort Matilda station. The train is from Gourock, bound for Glasgow Central. The metal structure above the train is an aqueduct which carries the West Burn.
