NY4206 : Morning sun strikes The Tongue

taken 6 years ago, 3 km from Troutbeck, Cumbria, England

Morning sun strikes The Tongue
Morning sun strikes The Tongue
As the November sun clears the higher ridge to the east it bathes The Tongue in bright light. Behind are the peaks of Ill Bell and Froswick dusted with a thin coat of snow. I actually took this photo from the car, balancing the camera on the open window frame - not all mountain shots involve pain!
