The Maze, Higginson Park
The Maze, Higginson Park
The park is the principal open space in Marlow. It is a classic example of a traditional urban park. It is located on the High Street and yet it also benefits from access to open countryside and a superb location on the River Thames.
The park is 9.5 hectares in area and has been in existence as a public park since 1926, although as a garden it dates back to 1758.
The park has a large children's playground, indoor and outdoor catering, public toilets and a skate park which is open all year. There are many fine trees and large expanses of lawn with formal flowerbeds and a brick in grass maze, created by Adrian Fisher to mark the Millennium.
