Uphall
Uphall
Formerly Strathbrock, like many West Lothian towns it grew up as an oil town, making its fortune on the oilshale mining in the 19th Century. Its now more of a commuter town, with a recently reopened railway link to Edinburgh. Still too many boarded up shops.
