River Valency
River Valency
The River Valency as it enters Boscastle Harbour. The building on the right is the Harbour Light, a former stable block, later pigsties, then from 1957 a shop and now a tea room. The building was destroyed in the flash flood which hit Boscastle on 16 August 20014 and rebuilt. Grade II listed - see LinkExternal link. Compare SX0991 : Before the flood at Boscastle for the building before the flood. Beyond is the Youth Hostel.
