SD9931 : Bus Stop, Robin Delph Flat

taken 6 years ago, near to Pecket Well, Calderdale, England

Bus Stop, Robin Delph Flat
Bus Stop, Robin Delph Flat
An isolated bus stop a long way from the nearest habitation. The full name on the stop is Keighley Road, Robin Delph Flat.
Try Googling "Delph" and various famous dictionaries all have stuff about it being a type of crockery, a variation of Delft. Not till you get to good old Wikipedia do you learn that Delph is from Old English "Delf" meaning a quarry. There is a Delph (dis) just over the road.
