The Forthside Footbridge
The Forthside Footbridge

A footbridge over the railway connecting the city centre to the Forthside waterfront development.

Designed by Wilkinson Eyre and Gifford, and built by Edmund Nuttall, the bridge comprises two 88m span inverted Fink trusses, in an unusual arrangement that makes the bridge significantly different to the only other major bridge of the same form at the Royal Victoria Dock TQ4080 : Royal Victoria Dock Bridge. It opened in 2009. For a bridge engineer's analysis see LinkExternal link
