See J3474 : Queen's Quay, Belfast (1990). The coal and scrap trades brought ships very close to the centre of Belfast. This photo of the “Arklow Valley” loading scrap at Queen’s Quay was taken from the Queen Elizabeth Bridge. Following the redevelopment of the area under the “Laganside” scheme the scrapyards moved to a site close to Harland & Wolff. For a more recent view of the quay see J3474 : Queen's Quay, Belfast.
