Heavy rainfall in the winter of 2015-6 recked havoc on the Lake District, caused flash flooding and a large amount of rock fall. This was greatly evident in May 2016 especially around some of the larger mountains. Glenridding on the east side of Helvelynn suffered catestrophic damage, but the streams on the west side, like here for example brought down vast amounts of rock from Bram Crag & Fisher's Wife Rake.
