Scoopwheel, Dogdyke pumping station
Scoopwheel, Dogdyke pumping station
This is effectively a waterwheel in reverse - using a steam engine to drive the wheel to lift water in to the drain. This has had all new elm ladles this year. Looks good and works well. There are only three steam engine driven scoopwheels left and this is the only one that actually lifts water (on a closed circuit for demonstration only).
