The Bridge upstream of Santon Gorge
The Bridge upstream of Santon Gorge
Many people who walk the coastal path between Castletown and Douglas try to time their walk so that when they reach Santon Gorge the tide will be out, so they can just wade through the river, thus avoiding a lengthy inland diversion of elevated walkways, gorse bushes, steep slippery slopes and frisky cattle.
So here it is! The bridge that even most local people have never seen.
