W. R. Lysaght Institute
The W. R. Lysaght Institute was a working man's club built in 1928 for the workers who came to work at the Lysaght steel plant in Newport. The plant had previously been based in Wolverhampton and most of the workers relocated to Newport along with the plant. In its later years it was apparently the place for the good people of Newport to get their groove on at the weekends.
