SE1321 : Junction of Delf Hill and Lower Edge Road, Rastrick

Junction of Delf Hill and Lower Edge Road, Rastrick
Junction of Delf Hill and Lower Edge Road, Rastrick
There used to be a cottage on the landscaped triangle on the left. At its corner, just out of sight, is an 18C guidestone directing up Delf Hill to Huddersfield, Lower Edge Road to Elland and down Tofts Grove to Leeds. This 'delf' has the good Old English spelling - not the fancy 'ph' (when did 'ph' enter the language?).
