Once into the pass, a path of sorts allows you to make reasonable progress amongst this rough and often damp terrain, although it's best avoided after heavy rain. Stob Coire Altruim is the peak ahead; the narrow coire to its left gives reasonable access to the ridge of the Buachaille Etive Mor.
