King's Standing clump
King's Standing clump
The plaque refers to this clump -- "most of the characteristic clumps of Scots Pine you see were planted in 1825, at the behest of Arabella Diana, Dowager Duchess of Dorset, Lady of the Manor of Duddlewell and mother of Countess de la Warr from whose descent the Forest was owned until 1988".
