Barton Court, Abingdon
Barton Court, Abingdon
This is the remains of Barton Court, which now stands in the middle of a modern housing estate which was built on the land of the former Barton Farm. There was a sign here saying that this was the place where Charles I last departed from Queen Henrietta before his execution. The structure was recently reinforced with bricks for safety reasons (just off-camera), and after the works the sign with historical information was unfortunately not put back.
