Old windmill, Portaferry

The windmill, on Windmill Hill, dates from 1771. It is open to the public and, although a shell, includes a modern internal staircase. Despite being only 100 ft above sea level it has good views over an otherwise fairly low area. The view across the entrance to Strangford Lough J5949 : The Strangford Narrows is probably the most impressive.
