This is the original supply from the Ystradfellte reservoir SN9417 to Neath. It hugs the contours up on the valley side because it's a gravity feed system as opposed to the modern replacement line that can run on the valley floor.
The elaborate bridge is only for the pipe and has nothing to do with any method of travel.
