Claret Ash tree in Muchall Park, Wolverhampton
The western section of Muchall Park now consists of beautiful mature trees and a "wild" open area with just a rough cut of the grass in early autumn.
In evening October sunlight, the red leaves on this large tree are particularly vibrant. Geograph forum discussion has identified this as Caucasian or Claret Ash, Fraxinus angustifolia 'Raywood', also known as Fraxinus oxycarpa 'Raywood'.
In a case of emergency a defibrillator is stationed by the main entrance at Penn Bowling and Social Club in Manor Road by Muchall Park. It has been supplied by the British Heart Foundation and is registered with the Emergency Services.
