Nannau. Seat of the Lords of Nanney
Nannau. Seat of the Lords of Nanney
At 700 ft possibly the highest family seat in the British Isles.
The Nanneys were descendants of the third royal tribe of Wales. More recently held by descendants through marriage the Vaughan family who still farm the estate.
The first house was built c1200 and possibly up to five houses have stood on this site, there is also a mythical connection with Owain Glyndwr.
