Berkeley Castle doorway
Berkeley Castle doorway
This elaborate doorway from the courtyard is a later addition to the castle. The doors themselves show reliefs of 9 of the 12 apostles. There should have been 12, but a mistake with the measurements meant that the doorway was too narrow. Visit the castle and try and spot the other 3 dotted around the buildings!
