Looking east, showing the Edale valley and beyond it (from right to left) Lord's Seat (SK1183), Mam Tor (SK1283) and the Great Ridge to Lose Hill (SK1585). The inscription on the cairn reads: "Edale - Kinder - Rushup Edge Erected for the National Trust in memory of John Charles Gilligan by his family. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help. Ps 121".
