Saddle between Brown Knoll and Horsehill Tor
Saddle between Brown Knoll and Horsehill Tor
This boggy saddle lies on the main watershed of Great Britain - rain falling on the left of this picture will make its way down Roych Clough to the River Goyt and eventually the Irish Sea via the Mersey estuary; the right-hand side is drained by Grains Clough, the River Noe and ultimately leads to the North Sea via the Humber. Brown Knoll is in the background.
