SK0983 : Peat grough

taken 12 years ago, near to Slackhall, Derbyshire, Great Britain

Peat grough
Peat grough
A curiously straight peat grough - one of several similar ones in the area, which makes me suspect they were dug deliberately in an attempt to drain this boggy moorland ridge. From the wall leading to the Cowburn Tunnel airshaft.
