NY8912 : The Source of the River Greta

taken 5 years ago, 5 km E of Barras, Cumbria, England

The Source of the River Greta
The Source of the River Greta
To the left is Yardstone Beck & to the right is Rowtonbridge Sike, which is crossed by the remains of a bridge on the former Darlington to Tebay NER Line.
According to the OS Maps the Greta should start further up the moor, but Yardstone Beck has cut a new course down the gutter of the old railway line.
