Taken from Hornby Bridge. At the back is a spectacular pele tower of the 13th c with additions in the 16th c. The castle part was dated 1849-52 and was by Sharpe and Paley for Pudsey Dawson a financier. Later about 1889 more work was done by Paley and Austin for the Foster's of Bradford.
