St Drostan's Kirkyard
St Drostan's Kirkyard
This kirkyard has numerous table-style graves, many now sadly more or less illegible as a result of weathering. In the background is the former manse, built in 1821-1823 by Alexander Laing after an earlier design by William Robertson had been rejected by the heritor, John Dingwall of Brucklay, because it was too he was not prepared to contribute more than a maximum of £83, the amount stipulated in an Act of 1663.
