Two bridleways on Cadair Bronwen
On the east side of the pass of Bwlch Maen Gwynedd, the ancient path of Ffordd-Gam Elin is marked as a 'Roman Road' on maps from the early 20th century. If that's genuinely the case, then one (or possibly both) of the two tracks that head down the west side must also be of similar antiquity. Suffice to say that whatever the origins of the path, it'll have been used as a west-east route across this ridge for thousands of years, and you are following in the footsteps of generations of walkers, farmers, cattle-drovers, hunters, cairn-builders, burial parties etc.
