Loch Mhor Dam
Loch Mhor Dam
Encloses the upper storage reservoir for the Foyers pumped storage hydro-electric scheme. Loch Mhor dam pre-dates the 1974 pumped storage scheme by many years, originally providing the storage for the traditional hydro scheme built by the British Aluminium Company to power its smelter at Foyers, on the shore of Loch Ness.
