Cattle pens
Cattle pens
Cattle pens that appear to be shared amongst the farmers who keep their livestock in these marshes have been erected in a bend of the surfaced track. The steel box > TG4304 : Cattle race seen at right is used for keeping a beast in close containment so that it can be examined, treated or weighed. This contraption stands at the end of a narrow race. The cows are driven into an enclosed yard with the entrance into the narrow walkway/race in the far corner. The race is flanked by a concrete wall on one side, and by high wooden fencing on the other and it is so narrow that cattle have to pass through it in single file
