This all in one section of Gearbox, Rotor Shaft and Disk Brake is being lifted up on to the top of the turbine tower number 16 to be connected to the 2.5 kW generator already installed within the nacelle.
On completion the wind farm will consist of a total of 26 wind turbines, each with a generating capacity of 2.5 megawatts.
The wind farm therefore will have a total capacity of 65 megawatts of electricity, which is enough power to supply the average needs of 40,000 homes.
