Hindhead Tunnel, South Portal
Hindhead Tunnel, South Portal
Construction of the A3 Hindhead scheme began at the beginning of 2007. At the end of the year, Tyndalls Wood has had a swathe cut through it to accommodate the new road up to this point, which is where the southern portal to the Hindhead Tunnel will be. Boring of the tunnel from this end is due to start in April 2008. More information can be found on this LinkExternal link.
