Almost certainly not this pitch but the Forest Recreation Ground is the home of Nottingham Forest Football Club. It name is derived from the famous Sherwood Forest which in medieval times extended right to the town walls. It was preserved as a recreation ground by the 1845 Nottingham Inclosure Act.
