Howe Hill Barns
Howe Hill Barns
One large & several smaller stone & brick barns built around a small courtyard are all that remains of the grange farm that was here from medieval times. Although in a shocking state of disrepair, this scene will (fingers crossed)be changing in the new year. The National Trust has got planning permission to convert them into holiday cottages, which will save the buildings from turning into rubble. At present there are concrete & girder barns sited between the Markington road & the stone barns, but these are to be demolished.
