SJ8853 : The new "underground"

taken 31 years ago, near to Brindley Ford, Stoke-on-Trent, Great Britain

The new "underground".
The new "underground".
I'd forgotten I had this! Look in the middle foreground at the concrete walls and steel arches. This is the new underground experience being constructed. This replaced the real trip down a mine shaft. The new experience wasn't too bad but no substitute for the real McCoy. If you want to go down a coal mine you can choose between Big pit in Wales and Caphouse near Wakefield.
