Clarendon House, Clayton Street
Clarendon House, Clayton Street
This large building stands on Clayton Street, on the west side of Newcastle's city centre. It is an Edwardian Art and Crafts building from 1896, originally a temperance hotel, but now converted into flats. It is highly regarded architecturally, but strangely, not a listed building. To the right is St Mary's Roman Catholic Cathedral.
