Queen's Bridge, Belfast, by night
The Queen's Bridge across the River Lagan. Replacing the Long Bridge, it was built in 1849 and opened by Queen Victoria in the same year. Many versions of the Long Bridge were destroyed during the eighteenth century and nineteenth century, and a more permanent structure was necessary.
