The church of All-Hallows-by-the Tower, London
A church has been on this site since 675AD. The current building was destroyed in 1940 in the Blitz and re-built in the mid 1950's. It survived the Great Fire of London and it is claimed that Samuel Pepys watched the conflagration from the top of the church tower.
